Digitization System
Our Digital Transitions system exceeds FADGI 4-Star standards. We use the DT Atom, a table-top digitization platform that can adapt to nearly any material type. We also use a Phase One IQ4 150 megapixel digital back mounted on a DT Rcam camera with Schneider high-resolution lenses and illuminated with cultural-heritage LED DT Photon lights, resulting in true preservation quality with accurate color, tone and detail.
We capture all images and process using Capture One CH software which is ideal for art reproduction and features tools such as Autocrop and AutoDeskew, Multi Crop, Batch Processing, and Raw-Stage Quality Control.

Aperture Archival is the brainchild of Peter Steinhauer, an artist photographer and an exquisite printer of more than 3 decades, whose photographs have received global recognition and are collected in museums and major corporate and private collections around the world. Peter’s passion for the art of photography led him to found a specialty digitization and printing service for artists, corporations and museums who seek superior quality and service.
